When getting ready for your London Paris London removal try to avoid packing in to the bags or keeping your item loose. Use only strong, removal, corrugated cartons .The added protection that these cartons provide may avoid damage that results from the use of poor quality packing materials. Turn the carton up side down & fold in opposite flaps, do not interlock. We recommend that you tape both ends and also down the centre of each carton.
A general rule to remember on carton size – the heavier the item, the smaller the carton. The final weight of the carton should not exceed the average adult strength of approximately 25kg. Remember your removal man is only human. Do not use oversized boxes (typical size box is 45 x 45 x 45 cm)
Fill all removal cartons to the top without overfilling. Cartons with items sticking over the top cannot be properly closed or stacked, cartons that are under filled tend to crush when stacked. Always make sure each carton is filled totally to the top before closing. Any spaces can be filled up with scrunched up butcher’s paper, towels, blankets or other similar items.
Using a felt marker to clearly label each carton with its room, brief description of contents. Labelling the cartons on their sides rather than the tops makes it much easier to find the one you want they are stacked. If a carton is packed in a manner that requires it to be always kept in an upright position, draw arrows on each side indicating which way it is to be place up. Any cartons containing particularly fragile items should be labelled accordingly.
Mark all boxes with your name and destination address.
• Be sure to have plenty of “filling/padding” material available.
• Be sure that the bottoms of all cartons are secured and will hold the weight of the contents.
• Packing tape or gum tape is better than masking tape.
• Pack heavier items toward the bottom of the box and lighter items towards the top. It’s better to transport them.
Please stack all the boxes in the hallway or pick one room to keep them together. This way we can load it faster and provide more efficient service. If you live above the ground floor and there is a lift, please make sure that all your belongings will fit into the lift, if not you need to let us know. In the buildings without the lift make sure we can take everything thru the stair case.
